This song always reminds me of my sister, Stella. Her name means Star 🌟 because amongst other things she was born at night. She was quiet and shy growing up, never one to force her way into a conversation or the limelight. In her quietness she developed an eye and skill for drawing. She could sit for ages and copy whatever caught her fancy and it always looked amazing. We would often tell her how good she was, a natural. That was her shining . That for me is what this song is about. Those natural talents and gifts that we all posses, despite innocent insecurities. Others will often recognise and celebrate our talents and worth before we acknowledge them for ourselves.
